We first developed Pritchard & Company’s website nearly a decade ago, and while it had served them well, it was beginning to show its age. The design no longer matched the firm’s modern professionalism, the content presentation wasn’t capturing attention or showcasing their expertise effectively, and the navigation lacked the intuitive, mobile-friendly experience that today’s users expect.

Additionally, the site lacked strong calls-to-action to encourage inquiries, making it harder to convert visitors into clients. Pritchard & Company wanted to address these issues while also meeting new goals:

Develop an approachable, authentic tone in the written content — highlighting their collaborative culture, mentorship, and personal client relationships
Showcase firm values and make their workplace attractive to potential hires in a competitive market for local legal talent

Approach:

We began by rethinking the overall user journey, focusing on both prospective clients and potential recruits. The new design uses clean lines, modern typography, and subtle animation to convey professionalism without feeling rigid or “stuffy.” Content was rewritten to be personable yet authoritative, reflecting the approachable and collaborative nature of the firm.

Navigation was simplified, making it easier for visitors to quickly find services or contact details from any device. We also integrated a robust site search function to allow users to locate specific articles, legal topics, or team members in seconds.

To highlight the firm’s credibility and client satisfaction, we strategically placed client testimonials throughout the site. We also developed a structured article and resource library, giving visitors an easy way to browse by topic and find relevant information. Each legal service page was expanded and refined to clearly outline the firm’s offerings, process, and benefits to the client.

The Medicine Hat Accommodation Association is a collective of local hotels working to increase overnight stays by promoting local accommodations, events, and experiences to travelers, event organizers, and sports tourism groups.

Challenge:

StayInMedicineHat.com had recently undergone a third-party website audit, identifying critical performance, usability, and mobile responsiveness issues. The site was slow to load, lacked proper event and package integration, and was difficult to update — leading to inconsistent content and missed promotional opportunities.

Approach:

MHAA approached Partek with a clear mission: transform their outdated website into a modern, high-performing platform that could better serve both their members and visitors. Their existing website was falling short on several fronts—slow load times, poor mobile responsiveness, and outdated content formatting were impacting the user experience and limiting the site’s potential as a tourism hub.

In addition to addressing these technical concerns, MHAA wanted more control over managing and updating content in-house. They also needed the website to support hotel promotions, feature local events, integrate a “Things to Do” feed, and serve as the landing point for all their other marketing efforts. Tracking user engagement and producing data-rich reports for stakeholders were also top priorities, especially with a growing emphasis on attracting sports tourism to the region.

Solution:

We rebuilt the Stay in Medicine Hat website from the ground up, delivering a responsive, visually engaging platform that’s as easy to use behind the scenes as it is on the front end. From performance optimization to intuitive navigation, every aspect of the site was designed with usability and growth in mind.

The new website runs on a lightweight, mobile-first framework, ensuring faster load times and a seamless experience across all devices. We addressed their previous pain points by enhancing responsiveness, improving site speed, and reducing friction for users on both desktop and mobile.

To simplify ongoing content updates, we implemented a user-friendly CMS that gives MHAA full control over hotel listings, event promotions, and tourism content. Each member hotel now has its own dedicated page featuring photos, amenities, maps, and booking links, with added flexibility for highlighting seasonal promotions and packages.

Local tourism content also took center stage. We created a dynamic feed of upcoming events and curated experiences to help visitors make the most of their stay. Whether they’re in town for a hockey tournament, a conference, or a family getaway, travelers can now find inspiration and accommodation in one central location.

All of MHAA’s external marketing efforts—from social media campaigns to digital ads—now direct traffic to the newly redesigned site. By acting as the primary hub for tourism messaging, the website reinforces MHAA’s brand and creates a consistent, professional experience for all visitors.

The result is a vibrant, welcoming website that reflects the energy of Medicine Hat and the hospitality of its accommodations. It’s fast, easy to manage, visually aligned with MHAA’s brand, and built to evolve with their marketing goals.

Challenge:

The South East Alberta Rural Crime Watch Association (SEABRCWA) came to Partek seeking a complete overhaul of their existing website. With a mission centered on promoting rural crime prevention in Cypress County, the County of Forty Mile, and the County of Newell, SEABRCWA needed a digital platform that could support their goals, engage the public, and offer seamless access to timely information. Their former website was nearly a decade old, with a dated design and limited functionality that no longer met the needs of their team or their community.

Approach:

One of SEABRCWA’s primary concerns was the lack of ongoing support and responsiveness they experienced with their previous website provider. Content updates were slow and technical support was minimal, leaving the organization unable to keep their information current. Additionally, the website’s layout had become cluttered and disorganized over time, making it difficult for users to navigate or find key resources. The site also lacked mobile optimization, making it inaccessible to users on smartphones or tablets — a critical gap in today’s digital landscape. SEABRCWA wanted a website that was modern, mobile-friendly, easy to update, and structured in a way that prioritized user experience and community engagement.

Solution:

Our goal was to deliver a website that was not only visually refreshed but also practical, intuitive, and built for the long-term. We began by reorganizing the site architecture, creating a cleaner and more intuitive layout that guides users directly to the information they need. We completely redesigned the visual identity of the site with a modern, mobile-responsive framework that works seamlessly across devices. Clear typography, updated colour palettes, and well-structured content sections give the site a clean, professional appearance while still feeling approachable and community-focused.

A major focus of the redevelopment was streamlining how users interact with the organization. The tip submission form was rebuilt to be mobile-friendly and easy to complete, reducing friction for users who need to quickly and securely report suspicious activity. We also added a dynamic “Recent Fanout” feed on the homepage, allowing members and visitors to view the latest reported incidents in real-time, keeping communities informed and alert.

To support public education and encourage engagement, we introduced a dedicated FAQ section that outlines when, why, and how to report incidents. This new content helps empowers users to take an active role in crime prevention. Additionally, we built out a fully digital, easy-to-use online membership application to encourage more signups and make it simpler for SEABRCWA to manage member data and communication.

The site now also features a detailed coverage map and a clear list of jurisdictions, showing exactly where SEABRCWA operates and reinforcing their presence in southeast Alberta.

The end result is a future-ready website that serves both the organization and the community it supports. With a simplified backend, faster content update process, and improved performance across all platforms, SEABRCWA now has a tool that can grow with them.

South East Alberta Rural Crime Watch approached Partek looking for a fresh new website that was modern and clear to view on all platforms. Finally, we streamlined Crossroad’s digital marketing efforts by consolidating their website management, website hosting, SEO, Google Ads, and Google Business Listings. This integrated approach ensured consistency across all online platforms, improving efficiency and effectiveness.

The Crossroad Energy Solutions website was transformed into a comprehensive, user-friendly platform that successfully met all their objectives. Spring River Cattle Co. is a family-owned business committed to ethically raising top-quality Alberta beef. Their cattle are grass-fed and finished on a forage and barley ration, resulting in marbled, tender, and flavorful beef. With a focus on natural farming methods, Spring River’s beef is free of added hormones and antibiotics. They wanted to expand their reach by creating an e-commerce platform to sell their beef directly to consumers, offering a variety of cuts and options for purchasing whole, half, or quarter cows.

Spring River Cattle Co. approached us with several key requests:

Develop an e-commerce website to sell a variety of beef cuts and whole/half/quarter cow packages.
Include detailed information on meat pickup locations, the aging and processing methods of their beef, and a FAQ section on how to order bulk beef.
Integrate an online payment system and order tracking to streamline the sales process.

The challenge was to create an entirely new online presence for Spring River Cattle Co. from the ground up. Their current website was not functioning due to its outdatedness, so the request for a suitable replacement came urgently. During the development process of the new website, we designed and implemented a landing page in order to maintain their search equity and drive clients to a reliable point of contact within the company.

We reviewed the content and structure of their current website to determine which aspects were relevant and necessary to the redevelopment of their website, and which areas could be improved upon. The Swift Current & District Chamber of Commerce approached Partek with a desire to clean up their cluttered and dated website. Their current website was built using a cloud-based membership platform intended for chamber of commerce professionals. Though they found some parts of the platform useful, the templated webpage options were stagnant, outdated, and clunky.

Approach:

We aimed to integrate the parts of their current cloud-based membership platform into a new website, with a more secure, modern web CMS platform.

By integrating their existing platform and processes we were able to maintain their membership directory, events calendar, membership login, and other long-standing, integral web components, without disrupting current workflows or processes.

We updated and reorganized the website content, removing broken links and outdated information. The organization of written content was a major priority, as the website is resource and information based; the content needed to be easy to find and readily accessible.

Solution:

Modernizing the design and aesthetic of the website gives the Chamber a fresh, bold feel, instilling feelings of relevance, confidence, and credibility.

Keeping the content of the website organized, digestible, and useful ensures the website is valuable to targeted visitors. Structuring the surplus of information into a visual hierarchy influences visitors’ perceptions and guides them to desired information or actions.

The website content is relevant to two main user groups: current chamber members, and potential members or local businesses. To avoid any segmentation or confusion with the opposing target audiences, the goal was to provide resources, benefits, and advertising for existing members, also benefited any potential new members or new businesses. Drilling down these main areas of focus allowed us to create a menu structure that is scalable and uncomplicated. The menu structure governs the website’s flow and connection from page to page, guiding visitors’ navigation through the website and encouraging targeted actions, like filling out a web form or signing up to become a member.

Creating structure to the website’s many resources may also help resolve any outlying inquiries visitors may have, reducing confusion, instilling confidence, and minimizing the amount of unnecessary manual administrative work required for the staff. Strong call-to-action increases desired contact with the Chamber, while organized and valuable content reduces the amout of undesirable contact. Effectively using the website as a tool to create workflows and efficiencies within the business, in addition to being revenue building.
