Our Web Design Process | Part 2 – Building

Let the fun begin! Building (or  development), is the part of web design that should be as painless as possible if the planning stage was done correctly. This is also the nitty-gritty of web development. Where all the action happens, and although we’d like to be able to explain this stage more clearly, it’s rather mysterious; Full of programming,  markup language, Photoshop work and other gory details. This is where the development team of programmers and designers take the planning documents and implement them.

Because we’ll be working from a clear set of documents that have been approved by our clients, everyone is on the same page and aware of what is being built.

As questions inevitably arise, we’ll be in close contact with the client liaison.

Typical deliverables from this step are:

  • Visual Design Mock-Ups – based on the documentation of project planner information provided at the initial discussion.
  • Working test site – a hidden, but functional website that allows us and the client to test.

At the end of this step, the site will be operational and ready for a complete testing phase.
